Frequently Asked Question

  • Three people cancelled their orders when they learned it was not a joke.

  • Re-tweet this. That's literally it.

  • Yes, with an asterisk*.

*Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we're currently unable to ship to certain countries. You should visit our shipping page and find your country on the list. If shipments are currently impacted due to the pandemic, you're still eligible to win - we just won't be able to ship your prize until the restrictions have been lifted.

  • Check the countdown timer.

  • Randomly, from the pool of Twitter users who have re-tweeted our giveaway tweet.

  • We're using a custom Python script which was specifically programmed for this giveaway. It uses the Twitter Public API to download a list of everyone who re-tweeted.

From this list, three random entries are picked using a randomly generated seed based on the NumPy project. These random selections are the resulting winners.

  • Once we've established contact via Twitter DM with the winner and confirmed their shipping details, we'll post their Twitter handles on this page.

  • Our faith in humanity is pretty low, but not so low that we think you'll get scammed over a Doomsday Kit. Still:

Don't reply to any tweets or DMs saying you've won unless they come from the official @dbrand account. You'll know it's us if you see a blue Verified checkmark. Furthermore, never give out your credit card information or Twitter password to anyone... especially not to any account asking you to \u201ccover the shipping fees.\u201d We'll never ask for this. The best way to avoid getting scammed is to check this page when we tweet that the winner has been announced. If you see your name listed under Winners, click the link to ensure it's actually your Twitter account (and not someone with the same display name). If it really is your account, congratulations! Check your Twitter DMs for further instructions.

  • The prize will be shipped via FedEx with tracking. If you win, you'll receive the tracking number once your prize is shipped.

  • Of course not. Everything is paid for by dbrand.

  • Tweet out a photo tagging @dbrand to verify that you've received your prize.

Then, open the kit and utilize its contents to ensure your continued survival.

  • No. Please stop. We won't acknowledge or reply to any emails asking to be picked as a winner. Selection is 100% random.
