• What did you give away?

• How would I have entered?

  It was easy:

  1) Follow @ZacksJerryRig on Twitter.

  2) Follow @dbrand on Twitter.

  3) Retweet Zack's giveaway tweet.

• I already follow both of you! Could I just have clicked "Retweet"?

  Yes. If you're already following both accounts, you just would have needed to complete the retweet and you'd have been eligible to win.

• Was the giveaway open worldwide?

  Yes, with an asterisk*.

  *Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to ship to certain countries at the time of the giveaway. You should have visited our shipping page and found your country on the list. If shipments were impacted due to the pandemic, you were still eligible to win - we just wouldn't have been able to ship your prize until the restrictions had been lifted.

• When did you select a winner?

  April 1st, 2020, at 4:00 PM EDT.

• How was the winner selected?

  Randomly, from the pool of Twitter users who had retweeted Zack's giveaway tweet and followed both @dbrand and @ZacksJerryRig.

• How do we know it's truly random?

  We used a custom Python script which was specifically programmed for this giveaway. It used the Twitter Public API to download lists: everybody who had retweeted Zack's tweet, all @dbrand followers, as well as all @ZacksJerryRig followers.

  Once the full lists had been loaded, the script generated a list of IDs which existed on all three lists. This ensured that the winner met all the criteria for winning the giveaway.

  From this pool of unique account IDs, a random entry was picked using a randomly generated seed based on the NumPy project. This random pick was the resulting winner.

• How did you announce winners?

  Once we established contact via Twitter DM with the winner and confirmed their shipping details, we posted their Twitter handle on this page.

• How do I avoid being scammed?

  Don't reply to any tweets or DMs saying you've won unless they come from the official @dbrand account. You'll know it's us if you see a blue Verified checkmark. Furthermore, never give out your credit card information or Twitter password to anyone... especially not to any account asking you to \u201ccover the shipping fees.\u201d We'll never ask for this. The best way to avoid getting scammed is to check this page when we tweet that the winner has been announced. If you see your name listed under Winners, click the link to ensure it's actually your Twitter account (and not someone with the same display name). If it really is your account, congratulations! Check your Twitter DMs for further instructions.

• How was the prize shipped?

  The prize was shipped via FedEx with tracking.

• If I won, do I need to pay anything to receive the prize (shipping costs, duties, taxes, etc.)?

  Of course not. Everything was paid for by dbrand.

• If I won, can I use my existing SIM card on the device?

  Yes. The Galaxy Z Flip is globally unlocked and carrier-free.

• If I won, did I need to do anything once I received the device?

  Tweet out a photo tagging @dbrand and @ZacksJerryRig to verify that you've received your prize.

• If I sent you dozens of emails begging for a device, would it have improved my odds of winning?

  No. Please stop. We never acknowledge or reply to any emails asking to be picked as a winner. Selection is 100% random.
