We used a custom Python script which was specifically programmed for this giveaway. It used the Twitter Public API to download a list of everyone who retweeted the giveaway tweet.
From this pool of eligible users, a random entry was picked using a randomly generated seed based on the NumPy project. Once we'd verified that the resulting pick followed both accounts, they won.
