• What is this page?

  Shortly after launching the Switch 2 Killswitch, we discovered a manufacturing tolerance issue which caused unexpected Joy-Con detachment under specific conditions. We’ve re-designed our Joy-Con Grips with a new attachment mechanism, called Joy-Lock™, to resolve this issue. On this page, existing Killswitch recipients can claim their free replacements.

• Am I eligible for free replacements?

  If your Killswitch has already shipped or been delivered, you have the original Joy-Con Grip design. This means you’re eligible for these free, upgraded replacements. We highly recommend getting them, they’re significantly improved over the original version that you already own.

• What else is included?

  Your replacement Joy-Lock™ Grips will also come with a set of adhesive-backed silicone friction pads for the Dock Adapter, along with instructions on where to apply them. These friction pads securely hold the Dock Adapter to your OEM Dock, enabling one-handed undocking (another commonly-requested improvement from our first wave of Killswitch customers). We're also including a small vinyl skin for the area surrounding the charging port to protect against contact between the USB-C connector and your console during misaligned docking.

• How can I claim my replacements?

  Eligible customers will have received an email containing a unique redemption code. To claim your replacements, add them to your cart, enter the provided code at checkout, and ensure you use the same email we contacted you at. • What if I own more than one Killswitch?

  If you own more than one Killswitch, your redemption code is valid for an equal number of Joy-Lock grips. Simply add the additional replacements to your cart before checking out.

• What are these add-ons?

  We're offering two optional add-ons alongside your Joy-Lock™ replacement kit. The first is a Retro Colormatched skin - a custom design created exclusively for first-gen NS2 Killswitch owners who wish to memorialize our failure (and give us a bit more money while they're at it). The second is our Prism 2.0 screen protector for the NS2. It's available here at 15% off, if you don't already have one.

• Can I bundle other items with my free replacements?

  Yes - and you’ll get 15% off any additional items you add to your cart, plus free shipping on the entire order.

• What if I don’t want to buy anything?

  There’s no obligation to purchase anything extra. If you only want your free Joy-Lock™ replacement kit, simply click “Add to Cart” without selecting any add-ons, and complete checkout with your redemption code.

• Can you update my address?

  You'll be able to enter your current delivery address when submitting your Joy-Lock™ replacement kit order.

• When will my replacements ship?

  Replacements will start shipping the week of August 11th. We expect it will take about 3 weeks to ship all Joy-Lock™ replacement kits, but we’ll be working as fast as we can to ship them out sooner.

• Why isn't my code working?

  You must check out using the same email address that the code was sent to. This includes the email address associated with any express checkout options you wish to use (i.e. Shop Pay, PayPal, Google Pay).

• My Killswitch is still on pre-order, when will it ship?

  Pre-orders will resume shipping once we've completed the Joy-Lock™ replacement kit program. Based on our current production schedule, all outstanding pre-orders are expected to ship by the end of August. Your fulfilled pre-order will include all the upgraded components (Joy-Lock™ Grips, Dock Adapter w/ built-in Friction Pads, and the Charging Port Buffer Skin) right in the box.
